There I sat on the couch, my Palin bingo in hand, waiting for I had no idea what – a possible train wreck?  A scene from of Matt Damon’s imaginary Disney movie come to life? An utterly blasé exchange of memorized lines?

As it turns out, it resembled the Disney movie and the memorized lines thing, but it wasn’t a train wreck.  After dodging the press and stumbling to answer even the most basic questions, she spoke passionately and defended her case with the poise of a beauty queen determined to win – didn’t you see Drop Dead Gorgeous?  Really and truly, she summoned her soccer mom conversations.  If nothing else, moments after, everyone is talking about Palin.
